Suggestions: Enable AGL altitude and provide a speed filter

Hello, I am unable to find where to send suggestions for the globe web display interface, but as a longtime feeder and user, I do have two:

(1) Provide support for AGL altitude. In the Settings, simply allow the user to enter their desired reference elevation, which when combined with the WGS84 height, will show airplane heights in AGL (above ground level). This applies a simple subtraction to the displayed altitude. This would be incredibly useful for close-work helicopter operations, monitoring final approach, firefighting operations, etc.

(2) Allow filtering of the gray airplanes (parked/taxiing), so that we don’t get those clusters of 50 gray planes at airports like DFW. Filtering by speed would be the simplest solution so that I can display only nonzero speed airplanes, but there is no option for this.

Thanks!

hey. Thank you for your suggested enhancements to the globe!

I will add an item to our developer board to look into how we can readily support AGL altitude and flitering out “on ground” aircraft.

Understand this is a bit of a temporary workaround for the latter request; however, you can set the altitude filter based on ground elevation at DFW similar to what I have done below with MCO in order to remove the aircraft parked at the airport…
