I am unable to view 8 hr Tracks, 1090 or 978 maps. I receive an error message: Problem fetching data from server: Seems the decoder / receiver / backend isn’t working correctly!
is this from the adsbexchange.local menu? I am able to access my feeder tracks and 1090 maps ok. Please send more details. thank you.
Yes this is from the adsbexchange menu. I type in the IP address on my local network, and when I try to look at the 8 hour tracks or the 1090 maps, I get the same error message. I hope that makes sense.
thank you. So, your feed status is OK, and yet you cannot access the tracks nor 1090 map. that is strange. Can you send a screenshot with your feeder UID and name via a direct message here or via Discord? I can then have an engineer/dev take a look.
Thank you for sending the screenshot. I sent it to an engineer to take a look. We will let you know if we find something.
hello again. Our engineers had the following thoughts:
First – they can confirm our stats package, as outlined here… Existing Equipment - ADS-B Exchange is not installed resulting in the following URLs not yielding any data:
• https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?feed=onDFo-wfdtXi
If you are using your own equipment, then please utilize the instructions outlined on that link above.
That being said, if receiver is connected (as on the screenshot provided) but doesn’t capture any data, then perhaps there is nothing to send, and there is nothing to view.
So either something is off with setup on the device, or the feeder is just not observing any aircraft, thus there is no data to see.
Data doesn’t last long inside cache server, so I would suggest try to visit the link above when you observe an aircraft overhead. That is, can you confirm you are able to open this URL http://adsbexchange.local/tar1090/ and check to see if any airplanes are being discovered by the receiver device when an aircraft is in sight?
Another observation: The mlat map shows that you have no peers…
which seems to indicate you are not receiving anything. Looking at your rough location, it seems the feeder is located in a valley which would make reception quite difficult.
Please let us know if this is helpful to rectify your feeder issues. Thank you.
I can see aircraft flying overhead, and my system is picking them up, but I am still not able to look at either of the maps (8-hour tracks or 1090 map). I am using a new ADSB-exchange blue receiver and an ADS-B Antenna High Gain 13 dbi. It is mounted 12’ off the ground at the peak of my roof, and nothing surrounds it. I am also a couple of miles from the Grants Pass Airport.
Randy
thanks Randy. I have passed this on to the engineers for further ideas.
